ST. GEORGE, Minn. - The State Patrol says a 24-year-old woman is dead after her vehicle crossed the center line and eventually hit a tree in Benton County Thursday night.
The accident happened shortly after 5 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 95 and 105th Avenue in St. George. According to a State Patrol report, a vehicle traveling east on Hwy. 95 crossed the center line into the westbound lane then continued into a ditch on the north side of the road before hitting a tree.
A 24-year-old from Princeton died on the scene. The State Patrol says that alcohol was not detected in their preliminary investigation.
St. George is 11 miles east of St. Cloud.
