MAPLE GROVE, Minn. -- A Maple Grove home sustained major damage after a fire broke out Tuesday afternoon.
The fire engulfed the attic. Fire fighters said they used a ladder truck to knock it down.
The fire was hot enough to melt the siding on neighboring homes, said Maple Grove Fire Chief Scott Anderson.
According to officials, residents were home at the time, but were able to get out of the house.
Four stations assisted in fighting the house fire. Anderson said they rotated firefighters to keep them safe in the hot and humid weather.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
