CROWN POINT, Ind. - A Plymouth woman was killed Thursday morning after a crash on northbound Interstate 65 near Crown Point, Indiana.

Indiana authorities said that Lori Rutten, 55, was a passenger on a motorcycle that was driven by her husband, Roger.

Roger Rutten, 59, was changing lanes when the motorcycle struck an uneven portion of the roadway, authorities said. They said that road repaving is being done in the area and signs notified motorists of the conditions.

Rutten lost control of the motorcycle and flipped the bike. Both were ejected over the barrier cables and into the median.

Lori Rutten died at the scene. Roger Rutten was taken to a Crown Point hospital and then later air lifted to a hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He suffered critical injuries, authorities said.
