OAKLAND - For the second time in four months, NFL punter Chris Kluwe has been cut.
Kluwe signed with the Oakland Raiders in May, shortly after the Vikings released the veteran punter.
The Vikings opted for rookie punter Jeff Locke. In Oakland, Kluwe figured to replace Shane Lechler, a perennial Pro Bowler, who left Oakland for the Houston Texans.
But on Sunday, Kluwe tweeted a thank you to the Raiders. The team went with Marquette King instead.
Kluwe said via his Twitter account that he will "see what the next couple of days bring."
Teams often jostle their rosters after cuts are made.
