SHOREWOOD, Minn. -- Police have officially identified the body of a man found in a freezer at a home in Shorewood.

According to authorities, the body is that of Eddie Frank Sole, 58, of Shorewood.

Sole's girlfriend, Jetaun Wheeler, was charged with second-degree murder after authorities found Sole's body at her home on Aug. 21.

The South Lake Minnetonka Police Department searched her house on the 5700 block of Wood Duck Circle in response to a missing persons request.

As officials searched the property, they found what appeared to be a brand new freezer in her garage.  When they opened it, they found Sole's body.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office said the victim had blunt force trauma injuries to his face and significant lacerations.

Authorities said they were searching for Sole after his brother reported him missing when he failed to show up for a family event as expected.
