MINNEAPOLIS - A 19-year-old woman was hospitalized after falling out of a sixth-floor window at a University of Minnesota dormitory.
University of Minnesota police responded to Yudof Hall on the Minneapolis campus just after 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The U of M released this statement.
"The University of Minnesota community is deeply saddened by the news
of a young woman who fell from an upper floor in Yudof Hall during a
visit to the Twin Cities campus on Saturday. Our thoughts and prayers go
out to her family and friends. A tragic accident such as this is
especially heartbreaking as we begin the school year. We hope students
will use this as a reminder to be protective and caring of their friends
The woman's name and condition have not been released.
University Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
