BURNSVILLE, Minn - An 18 year-old male from Burnsville has pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide in a crash that left two other teens dead on August 21, 2012.
The teen who was 17 at the time of the crash was charged in juvenile court. The crash happened on Buck Hill Road killing Frederick Alexander, 16, and Alesha Roehl, 17 both from Burnsville. The crash also injured two other Burnsville teens.
The 18-year-old pleaded guilty to two felony counts of Criminal Vehicular Homicide (involving gross negligence), one felony count of Criminal Vehicular Operation (with gross negligence involving substantial bodily harm) and a gross misdemeanor count of Criminal Vehicular Operation.
He will be sentenced on September 23, 2013 in Hastings.
Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom commented "We are pleased that the driver accepted responsibility for his dangerous behavior."
