GRANITE FALLS, Minn. - A 12-year-old boy has been hospitalized after an ATV crash in Yellow Medicine County.
The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of 180th Avenue and 470th Street, which is about six miles southwest of Hanley Falls, sheriff's officials said.
William Barker was making a left turn at the intersection when he lost control of the ATV causing the ATV to roll. He was thrown from the ATV, authorities said.
Barker was riding with two other juveniles, who were each riding their own ATV.
The boy was airlifted from the scene by North Memorial Air Care to Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
The incident is under investigation by the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office.
