ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- The College of St. Scholastica on Monday opened a new St. Cloud-area campus in Sartell.

The campus features larger classrooms, meeting areas and improved space for the nursing programs.

St. Scholastica is sharing the building with Resource Training & Solutions and Strack Companies, which developed the new location.

Scholastica's St. Cloud campus was established in 2002 with 28 students and two offered degrees, said Rick Butte, regional director for the college.

Since the introduction of the nursing program in 2011, the St. Cloud campus felt the need to expand, Butte said.

There are now nine degrees offered and 157 students in undergraduate and graduate programs at the St. Cloud campus.

The college will offer online and hybrid degree programs designed for students ranging from traditional undergrads to mid-career adults.

Available undergraduate degrees include accounting, management, computer science, nursing, organizational behavior, health information management and marketing.

Graduate programs include education, nursing, transitional doctor of physical therapy, health information management, information technology leadership, project management, rural health care and business administration.
