ELLENWOOD, Ga. -- Clayton County police said a 14-year-old girl was abducted Tuesday by two armed men who broke into her family's home.

A nationwide Amber Alert has been issued for Ayvani Hope Perez, who police say was taken by a black male wearing dark-colored clothing. She is 4 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 93 pounds and was last seen wearing blue and grey "Star Wars" pajamas and a blue and grey shirt.

Police said the armed suspects were driving a grey Dodge or Chevrolet and that Ayvani is believed to be in extreme danger.

Officer Phong Nguyen said the intruders demanded jewelry and money from Ayvani's mother when they broke in through the back door. One other child in the home at the time was not harmed.

When Ayvani's mother told the intruders she didn't have any money, one of the gunmen shot the family dog and took Ayvani, Nguyen said.
