ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - Police have arrested a suspect in the death of a 46-year-old woman whose badly beaten body was discovered Tuesday morning near the 5000 block of Cedar Lake Road in St. Louis Park.
An employee of a business near the intersection of Cedar Lake Road and Quentin Avenue discovered the body in back of the business near the railroad tracks wrapped in bed sheets.
The victim was identified later as Nerissa Annette Shaw, age 46, of Minneapolis.
After identifying her, police found out that the victim had been involved in a long and violent relationship with a man from Minneapolis.
Shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, the suspect was arrested at 15 E. Grant St. in Minneapolis by St. Louis Park police officers. He was taken into custody without incident. He is currently in the custody of the St. Louis Park Police Department under arrest for probable cause for second degree homicide.
