MINNETONKA, Minn. - A broadside collision at the intersection of Highways 7 and 101 in Minnetonka Tuesday morning has left at least one person dead.
The Minnesota State Patrol website says 4 vehicles were involved in the incident, which took place just before 7:45 a.m. According to troopers a Ford pickup was stopped at a red light when the driver proceeded through the intersection and struck a Toyota Corolla broadside. The Toyota spun out, hit a Nissan Juke and pushed it into a fourth vehicle, a Toyota Highlander.
An update of the crash on the State Patrol website Tuesday afternoon indicates that the driver of the Toyota Corolla was killed in the crash. The driver of the pickup was uninjured, as were a 46-year-old woman from Deephaven and a 47-year-old woman from Plymouth.
No word yet on whether criminal charges will be filed in the case.
