WALKER, Minn. - A Cass County man is in custody after authorities raided his property over the weekend and confiscated drugs and guns.
Officers from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Leech Lake Police and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the Wilkinson Township home and located marijuana plants and equipment associated with a grow operation. Several pounds of harvested marijuana were located in a drying system at another location on the property.
A number of firearms and ammunition were also seized, and the 35-year-old resident arrested and taken into custody.
Information gained during the investigation subsequently led investigators to a section of public land in Leech Lake Township, where they found approximately 130 large marijuana plants growing.
Charges against the suspect are pending.
