Not the actual suspect vehicle
BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Burnsville police are asking the public to keep their eyes peeled for a car that may shed light on the disappearance of a 20-year-old University of Minnesota student.
Anarae Schunk was last seen at a bar early Sunday morning with a murder suspect, police said.
She was reported missing by her family Monday night. When Burnsville detectives learned of her disappearance they placed her in surveillance video from Nina's Bar on Saturday night. That was where a man was shot and killed by a 31-year-old suspect.
That murder suspect is in custody, but has not been formally charged.
So far, he has not been cooperative with police so they have not been able to get information from him on Schunk's whereabouts.
On Wednesday Burnsville Police told KARE 11 they are looking for a 1983 Buick LeSabre, Minnesota license plate number 662-EWR. They would not give specifics, only saying that they think the vehicle was used by the suspect in the murder at Nina's Grill where Schunk was last seen.
Police are not saying Schunk is a suspect in the murder, nor would they say what her relationship is with the suspect with whom she was last seen but sources say the two were once in a relationship.
Anarae Schunk is 5 feet 9 inches tall, 165 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a white zip up jacket with a U of M logo on the chest.
If you have any information you are asked to call Burnsville police at 952-895-4366.
