BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Children's Tumor Foundation will host the annual NF Walk at Mall of America, from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29 in the Rotunda.
Neurofibromatosis (NF), affects one in every 3,000 children. That's more than cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy and Huntington's disease combined.
There is currently no cure or any effective treatments for NF, but with increased awareness and research funding, children suffering from NF can have a hopeful future.
NF Walk spokesperson, JoAnne Pastel, and her 5-year-old daughter, Jacqueline visited KARE 11 Sunrise to discuss the condition and the benefit for research funding.
You can still join the effort, and register for the run at the MOA.
