BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. - A vehicle struck a power pole forcing the temporary closure of a portion of Highway 169 on Saturday afternoon.
The one-vehicle crash occurred at about 3 p.m. at Highway 169 and Brooklyn Boulevard.
Hennepin County Dispatch said that the road was closed over fear that if the pole snapped and fell it would land on the highway.
Highway 169 was closed in both directions as a safety precaution.
Repairs are being done to the power line, officials said.
There is no word on when the highway will reopen.
