ANNANDALE, Minn. - Two teens are in custody in connection with the murder of a 42-year-old Annandale man.
Annadale police say a 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday on charges of second degree murder, and a 19-year-old woman was taken into custody on aggravated robbery charges. Both suspects are from Annandale.
Squads were dispatched to a home on Poplar Avenue North just before 8 a.m. Saturday on a report of a deceased man in the residence. There they found 42-year-old, Kyle Greene. The Medical Examiners Office ruled Greene's death a homicide.
Police have not said how Greene was killed.
The victim's family posted a message on his death. It reads:
"The family of Kyle Greene would like to thank those who expressed their condolences and offered their prayers and well wishes for our beloved family member. We will not give interviews as we wish to cooperate with the Annandale Police Department and the Wright County Sheriff's Office, as well as any assisting law enforcement agencies, in their ongoing investigation. We recognize that in our small community where people care about each other, it is natural to try and get answers to make sense of any tragedy. We are learning that you simply cannot make sense out of a senseless tragedy like this. We thank everyone, especially the media, for respecting our privacy and allowing us to grieve and heal as a family during this very difficult time."
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the death or the suspects is asked to call the Annandale Police Department or the Wright Count County Sheriff at 763-682-1162.
