SHELL LAKE, Wis. - Authorities in Shell Lake, Wisconsin have found a vulnerable woman who had been missing since wandering away from her residence Wednesday.

Sandra Casler, age 69, suffers from dementia. She had last been seen around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday near her residence on big McKenzie Road in Washburn County.

Washburn County Sheriff, Terry Dryden, said Ms. Casler was located in a wooded area near her residence at approximately noon on Thursday.

She was found in relatively good physical condition despite spending approximately 21 hours in the wooded area during the heavy rainfall.

She was transported to the Spooner Healthy system for examination though it appears she is not suffering any major injuries.

Sheriff Dryden thanks the volunteer searchers as well as members of the Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Washburn County Sheriff's Deputies and the Township of Minong Constable for helping to find Ms. Casler.
