GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn - A woman has been charged with growing over 2,000 grams of marijuana in her Golden Valley home.
Ashley V. Firnschild, 29, was charged with two felony counts of fifth degree possession and intent to sell marijuana.
Golden Valley Police executed a search warrant on the 6000 block of Sandburg Lane in Golden Valley on August 8. When they arrived they found two marijuana plants outside mixed in with other garden plants. After searching inside the home they found a marijuana growing operation in the basement and the attic. Marijuana pipes and other items related to drug use were also found throughout the house.
According to the police report Firnschild claims the home belongs to a relative but she was living there. She told police that the marijuana plants inside and outside the home belonged to her.
The seized marijuana weighed approximately 2,358 grams.
