MINNEAPOLIS - The death of the 2-year-old son of Vikings star Adrian Peterson is moving many people to speak out against domestic violence.
Saturday evening, a small group of people held a vigil for the boy at the Metrodome.
Some came because they are fans and wanted to show support for Peterson.
Others are domestic violence survivors.
"I left before it happened and I wish she did," said Amanda Thomas, about the mother of the young victim. "But she probably didn't know, and it's why I'm here to show support for her and him."
Vigil organizers tell KARE 11 they want to start a petition to make punishment for adults who abuse children tougher.
