MIINNEAPOLIS - Demolition on a Minneapolis building site was halted Thursday morning after the partial collapse of a wall.
Minneapolis Police and Fire crews were called to 616 5th Street North just before 11 a.m. on reports of a partial building collapse. First responders arrived on the scene and learned that everyone working on the demolition crew was safe and accounted for.
Minneapolis Assistant Fire Chief Cheri Penn says that work on the site has been stopped for the day, while inspectors from Minneapolis regulatory services and officials from the construction company doing the work determine whether the remaining structure poses a risk to work crews.
