CAMBRIDGE, Minn. - Police say a boy who was struck and killed by a car while he was riding his bicycle, has been identified as 13-year-old Colin Nathaniel Larson.
The accident happened Thursday around 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of 329th Avenue and Hillary Circle in Cambridge.
Police say emergency crews tried to revive Larson, but he died at the scene.
According to police, the 16-year-old driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. He was then released to his parents.
Authorities say the crash remains under investigation and no arrests have been made or citations issued.
The boys' schools have been notified of the accident and will provide counseling to students when school resumes on Monday.
A public visitation has been arranged at First Baptist Church from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Oct. 22.
