WORTHINGTON, Minn. - Thirteen people were ejected after a transport van rolled on Interstate 90 near Worthington early Thursday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a 29-year-old man from Sioux Falls was driving a Chevy Express Van about 1:40 a.m. when he hit an icy patch on the road. The vehicle rolled into the median.
At the time, 15 people were in the van.
Three of the passengers had to be airlifted to hospitals, while at least two more were transported by ground ambulance. The driver is listed with non life-threatening injuries.
As of Thursday afternoon four of the passengers were listed in serious condition. They are identified as 32-year-old Mussa Alaaldeen, 22-year-old Klaw Reh, 52-year-old Talla Agra, and 28-year-old Bhandari Mekh, all of Sioux Falls.
The rest of the people in the van are listed as recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
Worthington Police, Nobles County Sheriff, Worthington Fire Department and ambulances from Worthington and Adrian, Minn., responded to the accident.
