EAGAN, Minn. - Rescue crews pulled a man from a submerged vehicle after it plunged off a road and into a pond in Eagan Friday morning.
The Ford van left the road at Club View Drive and Lexington around 7:30 a.m. and flew off a ten-foot retaining wall, landing upside down in the holding pond.
A 58-year-old man was the lone occupant of the vehicle; rescuers had to extricate him before an ambulance rushed the man to the hospital.
Friday afternoon authorities revealed that the man had died of his injuries.
At this point there is no word on what may have triggered the crash.
