SHAKOPEE, Minn. - Two men are in custody after being arrested over the weekend in connection with the murder of a Shakopee man.
Shakopee Police say the suspects, a 21-year-old from Minneapolis and a 36-year-old man from Annandale, are being held in the Scott County Jail pending official charges.
The charges involve the shooting death of 32-year-old Aaron James Moran of Shakopee.
Police were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Prairie Street October 22 around 7 p.m. on a report of an armed robbery. When they arrived officers found Moran dead inside the home. He died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Over the weekend investigators located and arrested the two suspects, one for second degree murder and the other for aiding and abetting second degree murder.
Robbery still appears to be the motive behind the homicide. Police say at least one of the suspects is a former acquaintance of the victim, and assure residents there is no known threat to the general public.
At this time, the Shakopee Police Department is no longer looking for any additional suspects associated with this incident.
