Today we kicked things off in my kitchen.  It's a super easy cranberry salsa recipe I found in a magazine that I just love. And it is perfect for the holidays because of its rich red color.

Cranberry Salsa in minutes

1 large (12 oz or more bag of fresh cranberries.

1/3 cup sugar

1 jalapeno coarsely chopped. (2 if you like it spicy as I do.)

1/2 cup sweet onion coarsely chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt 

1 seedless orange

1/2 cup fresh cilantro

Sweet potato chips


Combine the first four ingredients and the salt in a food processor; pulse to combine.

Then grate the orange to make 2 tablespoons orange zest and add orange segments to the food processor.

Pulse until blended or desired consistency. Add the cilantro and a pinch more salt if needed.

Serve with sweet potato chips or blue corn chips.
