MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. - Mounds View's Police Chief says 19 men are facing criminal charges after being rounded up in a recent prostitution sting.
Chief Tom Kinney says an ad was placed online advertising a meeting place for sex acts at a local hotel. Officers from the Mounds View and St. Paul Police Departments set up a sting and arrested 19 alleged Johns who showed up to have sex in exchange for money.
Kinney called the operation "rather successful."
All 19 men were cited with a gross misdemeanor charge of engaging in prostitution. Official charges will be handed down by the Moundsview City Attorney, which could be in the next couple of weeks.
