ROCHESTER, Minn. - A police chief from southern Minnesota is accused of sexually assaulting a woman. Brownsdale Police Chief Jason Mindrup is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Prosecutors say Mindrup assaulted the woman in his pickup truck after the two met at "Cheers Bar" in Waltham.
The alleged incident happened on Aug. 31, 2013.
Mindrup has been placed on administrative leave.
He's being prosecuted by Olmsted County instead of Mower County because of a conflict of interest.
