PLYMOUTH -- High school students in Plymouth spent Saturday night outside in the cold in an effort to raise awareness about homelessness.
During the 12th annual Sleep Out, organized by Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners, students made fleece blankets to donate.
Organizers say the event gives students a small taste of what it is like to be homeless. It also helps them learn about the tough choices many families have to make.
The goal is to raise $2 million to help 1,700 homeless families.
