GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - If you have an empty wall in your home, here's a simple and affordable way to fill it with a memory.

In this week's "Piatt's Projects", I decided to explore how you can make your own canvas photo. Here are the instructions:

What you need:
- 8X10 stretched canvas (Found mine at Blick Art Materials in Edina)
- 8X10 photo (Printed mine at Walgreens)
- Acrylic paint
- Mod Podge
- Foam brushes

1.) Paint edges of canvas with paint. Allow to dry.
2.) Apply Mod Podge to edge of canvas. Allow to dry.
3.) Apply Mod Podge to front of canvas and then press on picture.
4.) Apply long, even brush strokes of Mod Podge to front of picture. It will look like you can't see the picture, but the whiteness fades away as it dries, leaving a textured look.
