GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A woman from Lake Elmo is back home after a trip to Hawaii awarded to her for using her second chance at life to help others.
Sara Meslow was one of 10 people selected from around the world to be honored in the inaugural Bakken Invitation. Each honoree is awarded a $20,000 grant in their honor to the nonprofit which they serve.
Meslow is the founder of Camp Odayin for children with heart disease, and she joined KARE 11 Sunrise to talk about her trip, and her project.
