EDINA, Minn. - A reward is offered in the case of a popular statue damaged by vandals in Edina.
The bronze piece, titled "Look and You Will Find It," featured six figurines until a vandal or vandals pried one off between November 18 and November 20. Damage to the statue, which is located on the Edina Promenade, is estimated at nearly $2,000 in damages.
Police say it is the fourth piece of public art to be vandalized on the Edina Promenade this year.
"These senseless acts do not represent the residents of Edina, and our growing reputation as a city known
for its public art," said Barbara La Valleur, chair of the Edina Public Art Committee. "Vandalizing public art
affects the livelihood of the artists. We're hoping the missing piece of this statue will be returned."
Anyone with information about the art vandalism or who may be responsible for the incident or incidents is asked to contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826- 1600.
