BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The State Patrol says a man died in a single vehicle rollover accident on the Bloomington Ferry Bridge Friday morning.
A 48-year-old man from Shakopee died in the accident according to the State Patrol website.
Officials say the Shakopee man was traveling south on Highway 169 when he lost control of the vehicle due to the icy road conditions. The car went over the guardrail and landed on the roof killing the man who was the lone occupant of the car.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office and the Skakopee Police Department assisted with this incident.
The Bloomington Ferry Bridge is a 1.1-mile bridge across the Minnesota River between Bloomington and Shakopee.
