IRON RIVER, Wis. - Authorities in northwestern Wisconsin are investigating the deaths of two people at a residence in Iron River.
A statement from the Iron River Police Department says the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call reporting an altercation in progress about 6:15 p.m. Saturday. Deputies found a man and woman dead in the home. Another man was found injured in the residence and was taken to a hospital.
According to the Duluth News Tribune (http://bit.ly/J3sjKd ), Iron River Police Chief Scot Eisenhauer says the injured man is considered a suspect, and that authorities aren't looking for any other suspects. He declined to give details about the victims' injuries.
Names have not been released.
The Bayfield County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation, with help from the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
