Grilled Marinated Flank Steak

In the middle of winter, nothing beats a good steak.  We have a delicious recipe that you can try at home.  A grilled marinated flank steak and a salad will warm you up on cold winter days.

 Grilled Marinated Flank Steak
2/3 cup lime juice
6 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoon minced garlic
2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 pounds flank steak

1. Combine all the ingredients, except for the flank steak, in a blender and pulse to mix.
2. Place flank steak in a shallow bowl and pour marinade over the steak. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hour and up to 2 days.
3. Remove meat from marinade and blot with paper towels to dry.
4. Grill or broil flank stead to desired temperature. A guide for doneness reads:
135°F rare
145°F medium rare
155°F? medium
165°F well done
Fresh spinach with tomatoes, sliced and sautéed mushrooms make a salad.
Balsamic Vinaigrette
1 cup Balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 ounce Dijon mustard
1/4 ounce chopped fresh basil
1/4 ounce Italian parsley
1/4 ounce chopped oregano
1 teaspoon crushed fennel
1 tablespoon chopped fresh garlic
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup olive oil

Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until combined.
