MINNEAPOLIS - Light snow showers continue to speckle the metro this evening but by Midnight the flakes should be out of the area. Clouds gradually clear behind the exiting snow and by tomorrow morning's rush hour mostly clear to partly cloudy skies return.
A Winter Weather Advisory continues with a current expiration date of Monday 6am. It is highly likely that it will be canceled early as the snow exits.
the bitter cold returns too. With temperatures dropping overnight to near 0 degrees the deep freeze moves back in. We stay in the single digits throughout the day tomorrow before sub-zero reading return with a few flurries Tuesday morning.
The ultra cold temperatures continue into Thursday morning before conditions improve somewhat with teens for highs on Thursday afternoon. Looking into next weekend the weather looks quiet and cool, but not frigid. 20's for Friday through Sunday are a little below averages but much more tolerable than our next few days.
