GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- Scott Bjorlin, co-owner and Executive Chef at Scotty B's Restaurant in Mound, stopped by our backyard today to show us how to make the a summer slaw perfect for a picnic at the lake.

Scotty B's Restaurant Cole Slaw
2 heads cabbage chopped or shredded (your preference)
1/4 head purple cabbage chopped or shredded
2 med carrots peeled and grated
5 cups mayonnaise
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/3 cup evaporated milk (this is the secret)
Mix mayo, sugar, vinegar and evaporated milk together. Stir well. Add carrots and red cabbage to mix so they get evenly distributed. Add chopped slaw and stir well.
Chef's note: It works best to use your hands for proper mixing. It's best to make the Cole Slaw a few hours before serving so the sauce and settle into the cabbage. This step makes the cabbage just a touch softer but still crisp.
