MINNEAPOLIS -- Kevin Love's posture is relaxed and his smile is evident early, and often. Love is back for his third season with the Minnesota Timberwolves and he's confident that this year will be different than the previous two -- for both himself and his team.
His team.
This is the year that Love, who's been the main hub for every team he ever played for until arriving in the NBA, plans to once again become the focal point of his team, expecting that in turn the wins will follow, just as they always have.
The son of an NBA player, and bearing the middle name of NBA Hall Of Famer Wes Unseld, Love is fresh-off a Gold Medal run as a member of Team USA, at the recently concluded World Championships. That experience saw Love come off the bench for team USA, a role he chafed in last season with the T-Wolves, but now sees the experience as a benefit.
Confident that he has the game to play at the highest level and with a new appreciation for being a role player, Love now sees his role as becoming the player to lead the T-Wolves turn-around. He likes the moves the front office made in the off-season to improve the level of talent arond him, and the Oregon native has taken notice of how Minnesota sports fans will embrace a winner, like they have with the Twins and Vikings, and now Love figures it's time to take the T-Wolves to that same level of relationship.
That is, if he can just handle going one-on-one with KARE-11's 11 Questions.
