GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- TV host, comedian, and author Mark DeCarlo dropped by our kitchen recently to share his favorite guacamole recipe.
Mark hosted "Taste of America with Mark DeCarlo" on the Travel Channel and is now touring in support of his hilarious new book,
A Fork on the Road: 400 Cities, 1 Stomach. Mark traveled to all 50 states and discovered great, and not so great, regional eats at every stop.

400 Cities, 1 Stomach Guacamole
5 READY TO EAT Avocados (must be ripe, soft to touch, but not mushy)
3 Ripe, red Tomatoes
8 oz minced garlic in olive oli
1 Large Red Onion
1small bottle of Capers
2 Fresh Limes
1 bags of peeled, cooked- ready to eat - shrimp, room temp 8 0z.
1 small bottle of Olive Oil
1 small bottle of Balsamic vinegar Modena
1 small bowl of loose Salt
1 small bowl of loose Pepper
1 small bowl of Tabasco Sauce
1 Bag of Tortilla Strips
Combine all ingredients and serve with your favorite chips.
