FORT MYERS, Fla. -- It's hard for Major League Baseball players to have a hobby during the season. Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer found a hobby that works with his schedule and is easy to travel with.

"So, I thought it would be cool to get an interest in photography and taking pictures and hopefully I'll be able to continue doing that as the season goes along and take pictures of the cities we get to go to and of the stadiums we get to play in," Cuddyer said during a timeout from Spring Training in Florida.

This new found hobby started during the offseason. Cuddyer took pictures from home, on golf courses and during vacations.

"Starting from scratch," Cuddyer admitted. "I've been doing a lot of reading. Trying to ask a lot of the photographers that are out here, the professionals, and trying to get some knowledge under my belt and then hopefully be able to put that to use.

"I've done some landscape stuff when we go on vacation. I have a nice house in North Carolina where we have some beautiful sunsets and stuff like that," Cuddyer added. "I'd obviously like to take pictures of whatever we get around and we got a lot of access to a lot of ballparks so that will be fun."

Entering his 11th season in Minnesota, the Twins right fielder plans to take pictures of visiting stadiums throughout the season and post them to his account on flickr.com.
