SAN FRANSISCO -- Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty was glitter bombed at a book signing event in San Francisco Thursday.
Two women dumped pink glitter and feathers on the GOP presidential candidate at a signing for the book "Courage to Stand."
The protesters yelled "Where's your courage to stand for gay rights and reproductive rights?" as they were quickly taken away by security.
The activist group CodePink posted video of the incident on YouTube. CodePink supports gay rights.
While governor of Minnesota, Pawlenty was a strong supporter of a constitutional ban on gay marriage.
Pawlenty also consistently vetoed any legislation, including anti-bullying measures, which used the words "sexual orientation" or "sexuality" to describe the basis for discrimination.
Pawlenty has also actively been against the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", the ban on allowing gays to serve in the military.
This isn't the first such protest. Last month while in Minnesota, a local protester dumped glitter on GOP candidate Newt Gingrich.
