MINNEAPOLIS -- KARE 11 now has its own ice cream flavor. It's called 'KARE Sunrise' and the recipe was submitted to us by one of our Facebook fans.
On Tuesday, we asked for flavor suggestions. We got everything from avocado and corn to bacon. We submitted the nearly 100 ideas to the great minds behind Sebastian Joe's and they helped us narrow it down.
The final idea came from Shannon McNulty. She suggested we use creamy lemon ice cream, candied lemon rinds and Golden Oreos. Turns out, her recipe is a winner.
Wednesday, Sebastian Joe's whipped up a big batch of 'KARE Sunrise' that will be for sale in their stores starting Friday, August 12th.
