North Minneapolis stabbing victim identified

MINNEAPOLIS - Authorities have identified the man who was stabbed to death in north Minneapolis over the weekend.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says 36-year-old Devric D. Hughes, Sr., or Minneapolis suffered multiple sharp force injuries and was pronounced dead just after 6 a.m. Sunday. The method of death listed in the report is homicide.

Minneapolis police arrived on the scene Sunday morning on the 2200 block of Girard Avenue North to find a man and woman both bleeding from apparent stab wounds. The woman was taken to the hospital, treated and arrested.

Minneapolis police are still investigating the incident.
