FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. - Contrary to popular belief, there is more to the Minnesota State Fair than just food on a stick.
Writer and photographer Debra Fisher Goldstein has covered the Great Minnesota Get Together for the last decade and compiled a website called BeyondTheStick.com. She says she looks for new twists on the iconic and the ironic, the peculiar and the poignant. She says her specialty is capturing little moments at big events - those candid moments that connect us all with each other, and with our humanness.
