MINNEAPOLIS - A familiar face will be on the Minnesota Vikings sideline for Sunday's game at Kansas City. Former Gophers football head coach Tim Brewster will be working the game as part of the broadcast team for FOX.
Brewster, in his first year as an NFL sideline reporter for FOX, coached the Gophers for three-and-a-half seasons, amassing a 15-30 record and two bowl game appearances. He was relieved of his head coaching duties after seven games in 2010.
FOX announced Brewster's hiring this summer. Brewster was hired as a sideline analyst for college football games.
Both the Vikings and the Chiefs enter the game winless through the first three games of the season.
Gus Johnson will handle play-by-play duties and Charles Davis will serve as analyst. Brewster has worked with Johnson and Davis on college football games this season.
Sunday's game starts at noon.
