Worker dies after being electrocuted in Centerville

CENTERVILLE, Minn. -- Authorities are investigating after a sign worker was electrocuted while working at a bank in the North Metro. 

Police were called to Central Bank, at 7111 21st Avenue North in Centerville, around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim was a 47-year-old White Bear Lake man who was working for L&D Sign, which is based in Stillwater. 

A spokesperson for the company says the victim was a Master Electrician doing work on an outdoor sign at the time of the incident.

The man's name is being withheld until family is notified.

The accident will be investigated by OSHA and the exact cause of the death will be determined by the Anoka County Medical Examiner's Office.
