HOPKINS, Minn. - An apartment fire in Hopkins has injured two people and displaced about a dozen residents early Monday morning.
Fire crews responded to the scene in the 800 block of Smetana Road around 2:30 a.m. Crews say they found flames in the building when they arrived.
Two residents were sent to Hennepin County Medical Center with minor injuries according to fire officials.
One of the eight units at the apartment building was heavily damaged.
Investigators do not know the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross is assisting about a dozen residents.
