ST. PAUL, Minn. - A St. Paul firefighter is recovering after being injured battling a house fire Monday morning.
Fire Marshall Steve Zaccard says the injury happened after crews responded to the home on the 1400 block of St Albins in St Paul.
Firefighters had entered the home to attack the flames when one firefighter plunged through a hole in the floor. Zaccard says the firefighter landed in the basement and was rescued and removed from the home after being trapped for several minutes.
He suffered burns on his legs and some scrapes and bruises, but will recover.
