Armstrong High School Marching Band
PLYMOUTH, Minn. - The Armstrong High School marching band is riding high after a big win earlier this month in Tampa, Fla.
They were named Grand Champions of this year's Outback Bowl Parade competition, held on December 31. Armstrong was up against seven other high schools from around the country.
Around 120 members of the band performed live on KARE 11 Sunrise Wednesday.
The band performed in the Outback Bowl Parade, during the halftime show of the Outback Bowl and also in a parade at Walt Disney World.
Armstrong HS has competed in the Outback Bowl Parade in the past but this is their first time winning. Band Director Todd Burkholder says it came as a total surprise.
