GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- A Mankato kid chef is close to winning a grand prize for his delicious sandwich idea, and needs your help.
Seven-year-old Sullivan Jacobs is one of the top 10 finalists in the Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich contest.
Sullivan's creative recipe for the Blue Monkey Breakfast Pita, was selected from hundred of submissions for kids across the country.
It's a concoction of peanut butter, fresh blueberries, blueberry preserves, banana and a little agave necter stuffed into a pita pocket. Sullivan then dips it into a french toast mixture of egg and milk and tosses it on the grill.
Now Sullivan needs your help.
The public can now vote on 10 finalist sandwiches, to decide who wins the grand prize of a trip to New York and a $25,000 college fund. Voting ends February 1.
You can visit Jif's website to vote for Sullivan Jacob's Blue Monkey Breakfast Pita.
